They Don't Know Who You Are!

Isn't it amazing how people treat you differently when they think you have money?

Everyone wants to be associated with success and greatness, hence most turn to big brands and clothing labels way beyond their pay grade such as Nike and Gucci to feel important. It would seem the one wearing a Nike shirt and sneakers is making it in life and will attract a lot of friends and following.

Well that couldn't be further from the truth, I am here to tell you that those who treat you with contempt and incivility because of their limited perceptions of you, just don't know who you are. Had Joseph's brothers knew the real Joseph, they might have made different life choices. However that particular phase of their life was absolutely necessary because it led to the unleashing of Joseph's full potential and greatness. Les Brown asserts " You have something special you have greatness within you". regardless of how other people treat you or perceive you, their contemptuous perception of you is none of your business.

I have come to realise that the world will ostracise you by glorifying a few around you, such that you feel timid to be who you are and who you want to become. Self awareness is thus very important and critical in life, there is no need to be timid of anyone. Don't you know that you are also a Badass? Joseph's brothers unfair treatment of him did not change who he was neither did it alter the nurture of his dream. His desire for greatness was not altered by those who did not know, understand or see the picture he saw of himself in his heart, for as a man thinketh is his heart so is he.

Nothing is permanent, there is a season and a time for everything. You don't have to accept the season you are in as your life. There is something bigger and greater, There are lessons that one must learn from each season and if you are a slow learner the season will be prolonged until you graduate to the next level. External eyes may look at you with the assumption you are a nobody or nothing, well everyone is entitled to their opinion . You are a born winner, hence out of the billions of sperm you are the one that made it.

They may not know who you are, but my question is do you know who you are? Are you on a path chosen for you by your parents or someone else or you are in your chosen path?
